|MAYOR WALLING, POLICE OFFICIALS AND VOLUNTEERS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PRESS FOR COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS ON FLINT POLICE DEPT. BLUE BADGE VOLUNTEER CORPS’ EXTENDED HOURS BEGINNING 7:00PM, OCTOBER 30, 2012 AT THE BALLENGER HIGHWAY MINI-STATION.|
Flint, Michigan — October 30, 2012— The Flint Police Department’s Blue Badge Volunteer Corps will be operating three of the City’s five mini-stations on extended hours tonight, October 30, 2012. Mayor Dayne Walling, Flint Police Chief Alvern Lock and Blue Badge coordinator Officer Tanya Meeks as well as Blue Badge Volunteers will be available to talk with members of the press at the Ballenger Highway Mini-Station (1210 N. Ballenger Highway) at 7:00pm.|
The Ballenger Highway Blue Badge Mini-Station, along will the Northside and Southside Mini-Stations will be open until midnight tonight. Tomorrow for Halloween, those three Mini-Stations will be open until 9:00pm. The City of Flint’s coordinated effort between police, fire and community volunteers has been a success for a number of years. As in years past, police are asking residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
