FLINT LIFELINES TO HOLD COMMUNITY FORUM ON PUBLIC SAFETY ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 AT 6:00PM
Flint, Michigan — September14, 2012— The Flint Lifelines group is holding a community forum on Public Safety at the Kennedy Activity Center on 1610 W. Pierson (next to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church) on Tuesday, September18 at 6:00 pm. The purpose of this forum is to raise awareness of the various resources available to community members in combating criminal influence.

“Lifelines members are aware that there exist negative influences, personal situations and other life obstacles that make it difficult for some individuals to lead a productive, ethical lifestyle,” Implementation team coordinator Erycka Hunter said, “what we provide is an opportunity for early intervention and rehabilitation for those individuals before they make life-altering decisions.”

Flint Lifelines is led by The City of Flint Mayor’s Office, Flint City Council, Flint Police Department & Flint Human Relations Commission in partnership with local, state, & federal law enforcement agencies and officials.

Various local groups have also partnered with these government entities. Flint Area Congregations Together, Flint Community Schools, Resource Genesee/One-Stop
Housing Resource Center, Moft Community College Workforce Development,
Community Resolution Center, University of Michigan-Flint, Department of Human
Services, Metro Community Development, Genesee County Community Mental Health,
Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint, other health & human service providers, business leaders & community members.

Flint Lifelines was formerly Ceasefire Flint.
