|FLINT LIFELINES TO HOLD COMMUNITY FORUM ON PUBLIC SAFETY ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 AT 6:00PM|
Flint, Michigan — September14, 2012— The Flint Lifelines group is holding a community forum on Public Safety at the Kennedy Activity Center on 1610 W. Pierson (next to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church) on Tuesday, September18 at 6:00 pm. The purpose of this forum is to raise awareness of the various resources available to community members in combating criminal influence.|
“Lifelines members are aware that there exist negative influences, personal situations and other life obstacles that make it difficult for some individuals to lead a productive, ethical lifestyle,” Implementation team coordinator Erycka Hunter said, “what we provide is an opportunity for early intervention and rehabilitation for those individuals before they make life-altering decisions.”
Flint Lifelines is led by The City of Flint Mayor’s Office, Flint City Council, Flint Police Department & Flint Human Relations Commission in partnership with local, state, & federal law enforcement agencies and officials.
Various local groups have also partnered with these government entities. Flint Area Congregations Together, Flint Community Schools, Resource Genesee/One-Stop
Housing Resource Center, Moft Community College Workforce Development,
Community Resolution Center, University of Michigan-Flint, Department of Human
Services, Metro Community Development, Genesee County Community Mental Health,
Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint, other health & human service providers, business leaders & community members.
Flint Lifelines was formerly Ceasefire Flint.
