City Of Flint Will Hold Neighborhood Meeting Tonight In Ward 2 At The Haskell Community Center Flint, Michigan – February 16, 2012 –Flint Emergency Manager Michael Brown is joining with members of the Flint City Council to host meetings in each of the city’s nine wards. Brown and Second Ward Councilwoman Jacqueline Poplar will host the ward 2 neighborhood meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Haskell Community Center, 2201 Forest Hill. Tonight’s meeting at Haskell is the fourth community meeting hosted by Brown and members of council since February 2. More than 400 residents have attended. The meetings provide an opportunity for residents to meet the emergency manager and members of his team, get information on the city’s finances and an overview of the Comprehensive Financial and Operating Plan that was submitted to the State Department of Treasury. Also, the meetings give residents an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
