The two day event is free to the public and will include activities for the whole family. In addition to the Fireworks Show the festival will also include Carnival Games, Bounce Houses, 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, Bands, Choirs, Fashion Show, Vendors and more.
“The purpose of the event is to celebrate Flint’s rich history and its people with a focus toward the future” said Jeff Grayer, President of FABE and former NBA star.
The I Am Flint festival is being made possible through generous donations from Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Community Foundation of Greater Flint, Health Plus of Michigan, Mott Community College, Citizens Bank, WEYI-NBC-25, The CW-46, Club 93.7, WFLT 1420, Flint Community Schools Athletic Association, Damion Fraser Attorney At Law, T3 Promotions, and Stewardship Promotions.
