ITS - Geographical Information System

The purpose of the GIS Division is to coordinate and implement a GIS system for use throughout the entire City. 

The GIS records and tracks various important facts about the City of Flint, such as:

• Roadway systems

• Routes for garbage collection, snow plowing

• Voting and legislative districts

• Sewer lines

• Police & Fire coverage districts 

GIS data is useful to departments throughout the City to help them make important decisions and to conduct their business more efficiently.
