PLAN EXAMINATION FEE
All buildings and structures which require plans and specifications for the issuance of a permit in accordance with the Michigan Building Code 2003 and Michigan Residential Code 2003 or other ordinances or laws shall be charged a fee for the examination of said plans and specifications as follows:

The plan examination fee shall be charged on all projects where drawings are required. Plan examination for projects involving only mechanical, plumbing, electrical and site work shall be charged a fee of $100.00 per hour pro-rated for the actual time expended for the review. Simple building alterations and additions shall be charged a fee of $100.00 per hour. When plan examination is to be done by an outside agency (BOCA, State of Michigan, etc.) the applicant will pay the fee charged by the outside agency plus an administrative charge of $152.00.
