Downtown Development Authority responsibilities include:

advocacy of long range plans for the reuse of vacant facilities

Acquisition and
disposal of property

Restoration and
preservation of old buildings

Correction and
prevention of deterioration

Promotion of
economic development projects in Downtown

Managing off-street
and on-street parking facilities

Maintenance and
beautification throughout the District
The DDA has played a
variety of constructive roles since it's creation. It has been, and
continues to be, a redevelopment agency, a marketing organization, and a
coordinator and facilitator among various private and governmental
entities involved in and with the Downtown.
