About DCED

The Department of Community and Economic Development works to strengthen the long-term economic well-being of the City of Flint by promoting affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, business development and job growth. The Department utilizes a number of federal, state and local grant and loan packages to aid in the community and economic development of the City.

Announcement

The City of Flint, through the Department of Community and Economic Development, will provide City-Wide emergency repairs, and full-code housing rehabilitation, in targeted areas. Interested persons must be homeowners, reside in the City of Flint, and meet other income qualifying guidelines. Please call the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Office at (810) 766-7436 for more information. Please be ready to provide all required documents. The application deadline is September 15, 2010. You must call for an appointment. Please do not come to the office without an appointment, you will not be seen.
